About Lucid9:
Lucid9 is a dystopian murder mystery visual novel with elements of science fiction, psychological thriller, and romance, conceived by Fallen Snow Studios in 2014. Inspired by titles like The Devil on G-String, Rewrite, and Steins;Gate, Lucid9 aims to appeal to both newcomers and fans of the visual novel genre. The first installment, "Lucid9: Inciting Incident", launched on itch.io and Steam in 2016 to positive reviews from over 900 players.
Story Synopsis:
Set in Isamu, Japan, Lucid9 follows Yama Ishimoto, a jaded high school student at Isamu Academy, as he investigates a series of gruesome murders resembling the unsolved Independent Murders from years ago. As Yama uncovers hidden truths and a sinister conspiracy, he navigates themes of friendship, betrayal, and the pursuit of truth in the face of darkness.
Available Position:
We are seeking an additional scenario writer to help complete Elizabeth Oshiro's route, one of the four heroine routes in development. This is a paid position, funded by our recent Kickstarter campaign.
Compensation:
The selected scenario writer will be paid $1,000 for their work on Elizabeth Oshiro's route.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Knowledge of the visual novel medium
- Background in script writing
- Game development experience preferred but not required
- Discord for communication
Responsibilities:
- Revise and write content for Elizabeth Oshiro's route, totaling approximately 40,000 words, which includes:
- Revising several existing scenes from the first two arcs
- Crafting the final arc in its entirety
- Incorporate additional programming cues into the script
- Work within the confines of the predefined narrative structure while infusing the route with your unique perspective on its theme and character growth
- Collaborate closely with the creative director and maintain regular communication during development
