We've had a few setbacks during our winter break. Our programmer has been trying his best to fix the issues present on the engine, but unfortunately couldn't find the time to do so due to personal issues. The next demo of Lucid9 will be much longer than the first, and we feel that the engine has too many hiccups for you guys to read it comfortably. Thus, we had to delay the release of the next demo. I deeply apologize to those who have been waiting patiently.
Understandably, it can sometimes be difficult to juggle your personal life along with a project. There might be a few instances where a member simply gets too busy and has to leave, but we are always keeping alternatives in mind should that happen. As they say, "The show must go on!" (Another cliche. Sorry...)
There is good news, though. I'll share a few updates on the overall progress of Lucid9.
Art
The art department has been running smoothly. For us, Christmas never ended as we saw the Art Board filled with... well, art. Thanks, guys~

Along with backgrounds, more poses have been made for the characters. Each of them should have at least two for the next demo.

Writing
- Common Route
Writing has also been progressing at a steady pace. So far, Common Route now has 140k words! The writing for the next demo is mostly done and editing is underway. The upcoming demo is projected to have 80k words, compared to the previous which had around 7k words. If I did my math right, that should amount to 4 and a half hours of reading.
- Heroine Routes
The general skeletons of the routes have been planned. Currently, it's a matter of fleshing everything out in extreme detail. (For my route in particular, I have 8 different documents that serve some kind of purpose pertaining to the route. But that's just how I organize.)
On a side note, we have an open position for another background artist. You don't necessarily have to be an artist (even though some experience in drawing might help), we just need people with decent to good photoshop skills.
That's all the news for now. Thank you for supporting us! I'll see you in the next update.
