Hey, everyone! It's finally here: the release date for Lucid9: Inciting Incident.

It's taken us longer than expected, but we're now (nearly) ready. We're confident that our engine build has reached sufficient quality for a release on April 14th! The only thing left to do is to have Valve review our game so that the Steam Store page can go live hopefully some time in the next 6 days. (Valve seems to monitor free releases on Steam a lot more closely, which slows the process a little)

We're also in the process of building a Thunderclap campaign to make sure that the release is successful. We'll be sharing it once the campaign is ready—most likely at the start of the week.

On a separate note, if you've been following us on social media lately, you've probably seen that we've finished posting all of the remaining voice acting trailers. We hope you enjoyed it! If by any chance you've missed some of them, you can go to out revamped Character page where all of the trailers were uploaded individually as character introductions. Or you can watch our combined trailer that has all of the voiced teasers in one video (though some videos are shortened, and the music is different) :

Now that the release is imminent, expect more blog posts from us, so please stay tuned and spread the word! Your support is what kept us all going, and managing to release such an awesome game!

Hello, everyone!

Have a bit of unfortunate news to share with you today. As you can guess from the title, the release of Inciting Incident will have to be delayed until some time in April. We're very, very sorry for those who were expecting Inciting Incident to be released tomorrow.

Polishing the engine is taking longer than we anticipated, and we'd rather not rush things and ruin the reader's experience by having Inciting Incident crippled with bugs. We hope that you can understand, and we promise the wait will be worth it!

As an apology, we're releasing all of the voice trailers for the main cast of Lucid9. Six have already been published, you can listen to them here:

After some discussion, we've finally decided on a release date for Inciting Incident. Coincidentally, it will be on Fallen Snow Studio's second anniversary on March 21st! Of course, that's assuming if everything runs smoothly as we test the engine for errors. If something unexpected occurs, we'll be sure to let you know whether it will affect the release date. ​

We've come a long way since we've began this project, and we're both proud and excited to be able to release Lucid9 on Steam after all this time spent in development. We've put our utmost efforts into making sure it would make for a great, memorable and enjoyable experience.

We talked about a surprise in our previous posts, and it's about time for us to reveal it: prior to the release, we'll be uploading teaser trailers featuring the voice acting cast to our YouTube channel. We'll be uploading one video per day starting from March 10th up until March 20th. We really hope you'll enjoy the voice acting! We've been really excited about it and the result really exceeded our expectations! (Note: Voice acting won't be available for this release, but added on at a later date as a patch.)

Please help us make this release successful by sharing the announcements, the website, the trailers, everything that might interest people you know! Our only wish is to be able to share our story with as many people as possible.

It's been a bit more than a month since we started auditioning in order to find voices for Inciting Incident characters. Thanks to the effort of Yin Yang Voices, we managed to gather a crazy amount of very talented actors and actress, I really can't thank them enough for their help. Seeing so many people putting their trust in Lucid9 and willing to provide such high quality service for free is really something that makes us happy and proud at the same time. We really hope we'll be able to prove that English voice acting has also it place in EVN and that it is by no mean inferior to Japanese voice acting.

The open auditions we've announced a while ago are now closed. We received a lot of submissions, thanks a lot for your participation, and for sharing the word! We didn't expect receiving so many, and a lot of the submissions were of really high quality. Here is the final list regarding our voice acting cast :
