As of late, our team has been pretty busy with school/work, but now that summer break is rolling around again we should be spending more time on development for Lucid9!
A question that we get asked frequently is when the next part(s) of L9 will be completed. (And after reading that cliffhanger, it's only natural to ask.) At the moment, we still can't give an estimate considering how much work is left to be done, but what I can give you are updates like these about our overall progress. I'll try my best to keep them somewhat consistent, especially now that we have a sizable following. :3
Since Inciting Incident's release, we've received a fair amount of feedback. (We do make an effort to read them all, by the way.) Thanks to some constructive criticism, we have a clearer idea of what to improve on for the next part(s) of Lucid9, so I have to give a big THANKS to those who took the time to share their thoughts on our work.
Now onto what Fallen Snow Studios has been up to lately~
We're currently focusing most of our attention on developing the plot. As mentioned in previous posts, we have the general structure of the routes set, but a good portion of it still needs to be fleshed out. Recently, our writers had two big meetings discussing Yama's character progression in the routes, and the meetings—as with most of our meetings—lasted roughly around 3-5 hours. So yeah, it's a bit of a challenge to schedule them at convenient times. ^_^'
Concerning the art, we've given our artists a few references for what would likely be needed post-Inciting Incident, but asked that they don't start until the routes are 100% solidified. I'll be sure to share some of the sketches when they're made available.
As for the music, most of the tracks for Lucid9 have already been completed, but I do believe our composers still wanted to go back and mix them again for better quality. If you weren't aware of it before, you can listen to the full OST here at our YouTube channel.
In other news, our female sprite artist, DizzyWorld2, is attending A-kon this week! She'll be selling some merchandise (both L9 related and unrelated), so please be sure to visit when you have the time. Anyone who orders $10 or more from her table or recommends Lucid9 to someone they know will receive a free Lucid9 print! You can find more info at this link here: http://puu.sh/p71eY/c63b6795f2.png
